World Heart Day

According to World Health Organisation (2017), Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) is currently the first leading cause of death worldwide. There has been an increase of 14.5% of deaths which is equivalent to 17.9 million, attributed to cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) globally from 2006 to 2016. That is 3 in every 10 deaths and is expected to grow to over 23.6 million by 2030.

The major risk factors for cardiovascular disease are smoking, high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol. These risk factors can be prevented by addressing common lifestyle habits such as the smoking cessation, reduction of salt in the diet, increased consumption of fruits and vegetables, regular physical activity and limiting alcohol intake.

Over the years, the global food system has evolved along with the public food behaviours. The frequency of snacking, eating out, ordering take-outs and fast food consumption have escalated in low and middle income countries, resulting in a dietary shift to a higher consumption of refined carbohydrates, vegetable oils, meat, processed foods and sweetened beverages. These dietary patterns contribute extra calories, sugar, salt and fat to the diet and consequently a higher risk of heart diseases.

BARLEANS

Truelifesciences has provided an easy way to counter these issues with our clinically formulated products. Barleans is a pharmaceutical grade, high strength fish oil that utilises molecular distillation for extraction at lower temperatures. The resulting ethyl ester form of Omega 3 is easily assimilated by many and is less likely to cause fishy burps. This product aids in lowering triglyceride and cholesterol level, reducing blood pressure and preventing heart disease.

Quinol CoQH-CF (Ubiquinol Reduced Coenzyme Q10)

Over the years, the therapeutic effect of dietary antioxidants has been studied in the prevention and treatment of CVDs. Cholesterol lowering drugs like statins carry several side effects and it lowers the levels of coenzyme Q10 in the body. Quinol CoQH-CF is a ubiquinol reduced coenzyme Q10, clinically proven to improve heart health and patented with crystal free tri-lipid technology that keeps it fully dissolved over a broad temperature range with 8 times greater absorption than other lipid based preparations. It contains D-Limonene, Alpha-lipoic acid, Capric acid and Caprylic acid which provides a viable and stable form of ubiquinol, making it highly bioavailable to the body.
