World Mental Health Day

Almost 1 billion people in the world are struggling with mental disorders. On the contrary, people tend to be underdiagnosed or underreport such conditions regardless of countless healthcare provisions. Hence, the true value remains unknown.

Mental health is the mediator of emotions, communication, resilience and cognitive functions such as thinking and learning. Just like any part of the human body, it can fall ill. Mental illnesses, also known as mental disorders are conditions that affect one’s emotions, thoughts and behaviour. These conditions can take place in just about anyone where they disrupt daily life in certain ways ranging from mild phobia to medical care requirements.
